Karen Madi (b. 1995) is a Lebanese-Syrian artist based in Dubai. Working primarily in painting and drawing, she creates scenes rooted in everyday life that explore feelings of home, belonging, and uncertainty. Drawing from domestic spaces and personal observations, her work examines how memory, mediated images, and events unfolding elsewhere become embedded in intimate life, revealing the ways personal and collective realities intersect. Trained in architecture and studio arts at the American University of Beirut, Madi approaches painting with an awareness of space, framing, and order, often using clear geometries and divisions to navigate the tension between stability and rupture. She has exhibited in Lebanon, Jordan, Germany, and the UAE.
