KARMALULU
ART DIRECTION SET DESIGN PHOTOGRAPHY CAMPAIGN
With their timeless appeal, Karmalulu’s perennial and poetic pieces prescribe the notion that jewelry should be treasured forever, making a strong case for ignoring trends and seasons. The result is wearable objets d’art that create a distinctive vintage look and exude an inimitable sense of easy elegance. Influenced by the brand owner’s own curious nature, the idea behind each piece begins with a personal story associated with themes of beauty, strength and empowerment that invite discussion.
The brand presents talking-point pieces, designed for contemporary and multifaceted women. Created in Dubai, the pieces are made from recycled gold and hand-selected materials such as diamonds and precious and semi-precious gems.
We worked on this campaign for the Mesopotamian Collection that weaves a story of female empowerment.
Inspired by Middle Eastern talismanic traditions, this collection, which comes with a whimsical aesthetic, was inspired by the tale of Ishtar, the most venerated female figure in Iraqi mythology. Incorporating natural and celestial elements, the pieces lend a modern and subversive edge to classically feminine tropes.
A rich alchemy of history, art and culture permeates the collection’s offering, which includes pendant necklaces dotted with diamonds and gems and iconographic signet rings, updating the romance of the ancient world with a contemporary mood.
Part heirloom part contemporary jewelry, these are timeless pieces that tell a unique story. The collection is a powerful and poetic tribute to the divine feminine energy and an ode to women whose legacies are often forgotten or untold.
